Celebrating Twenty-9

Well it finally happened.  I turned 29.  It feels great.  Actually, I don't feel a day over 25 - which is perfectly fine with me since aging isn't my favorite thing to do.

We decided to go to Las Vegas this year to celebrate.  Why not, right?  We dreamed of a hot sun and lots of pool time and that's exactly what we got.

As a special bonus, my parents, brother Shane and sis-in-law Merle, drove down from Utah to join us.  Shane and Merle were only able to stay for one night, but it was such a treat to be able to spend some time with everyone.

That sweet husband of mine made sure it was a celebration to remember.  He even somehow made sure the hotel knew we were here to celebrate.  They sweetly gifted this bottle of champagne. It's the thought that counts.

We ate lots of good food.  LOTS of FOOD.  Basically, you should never go to Vegas without eating lots of good food.

I honestly could have eaten 5 more frozen hot chocolates, with Oreo.  So yummy, thank you Serendipity 3 for having delicious everything and portions bigger than my head. Yikes.

Max Brenner is known for his chocolate, and he does it well.  He should also be known for his cocoa dusted waffle fries and delicious everything.  Also for pipes of chocolate running through the restaurant.  Because pipes of chocolate make every meal better.

It was the perfect time away that we needed and a wonderful way to celebrate another fantastic year of life.  I cannot wait for what this next year has to bring!
