Ponytail road trip

The other day I wore my hair in a ponytail.  Let's be honest, that happens way too often given my new longer length and the sheer laziness I have with washing and drying my hair every day.  That same day Ben and I took a little road trip to Lake Oswego.  While Ben was being responsible and driving,  I was playing with my new long pony realizing how much hair was there!  I immediately decided I MUST take a picture, while in route, to prove to myself the longness!  It took pictures with my cell phone the entire 30 minute trip. It was really hard to get one that showed the entire ponytail.  I really need to work on my road trip self portrait skills. Watching my struggles and occasional mentions of needing to puke Ben asked a few times, "Can I just take the picture for you?"  I responded with my usual, "No, I don't need help."  Needless to say I got really car sick and was on the verge of puking for the rest of the night.  All that just for the perfect picture, or a lot of imperfect pictures.
You're welcome.

When I got sick of trying to get a picture of the back of my head I moved on to better things.  Below Ben asked, "Now what are you doing?"  I responded.... "I have to document this ponytail road trip and I am showing that I am scared of your driving!!"  {I really am not though, I actually hate driving so I love when Ben drives.}

And then the awesome ones...

The sky was pretty on the way home.  Of course I had to take a picture of that too.

So there to have it, the ponytail road trip pictures from Washington to Oregon.  My hair is long though, right?!

Channeling Steven Tyler

We both love ruffle shirts, loud music and we are equally hilarious... what else do Steven Tyler and I have in common?

Oh, I don't know... maybe FEATHERS in our hair?

I know, I know, I am not that original.  A lot of people already have them.  I wish I had longer hair so I could have them long in the bottom.  I tried to get them to blend as much as I could as to not tamper with my professional appearance. I may or may not look like I am in high school, but I'll tell you what... I can wash, curl, blow dry and style my new little feathers and I love them almost as much as I love candy.
Rock on little feather extensions, Rock on.

Grey and Blue

You know the mornings you wake up ready for a busy day.  You shower, curl your hair, apply your make-up eat a quick banana and run out the door while applying your lipgloss. As you drive down the freeway you do one last look in the rear-view mirror - {to make sure you don't have anything hanging from your nose or banana peel stuck to your newly applied lipgloss} - and you see something so horrifying you want to slam on your breaks right there to take a better look.
First let's get over the obvious.... 1 - Although my part makes it look like I am balding I really don't think I am so no need to worry.  2 - I KNOW my color VERY BADLY needs to be re-done.  I had to go a little long this time because my beloved hair stylist is going on maternity leave and I wanted to try and get in right before she left so I don't have to see someone new while she is out.  I didn't, however, realize it was so terrible. I should take pictures of the top of my head more often. 3 - I also didn't know I was so blonde?

GREY HAIR!!!!!!

Now this is not the first time I have found grey hair. August 25, 2008 was the first time I noticed a lone grey standing above the rest.  How could I forget, I logged it in history here.  But 3 years ago it was one grey hair and now it is 4!! Before we know it they will be taking over my entire head.  Come on hair, I am not even 30, don't give up on me now.

Needless to say I have less than excited feelings towards going grey at the wee age of 27. I immediately scheduled a hair appointment!
Notice my crazy grey's shining in the sun for all to enjoy
On a much happier note the day started rainy and grey {along with my hair} and ended up with beautiful blue skies worthy of an open sunroof.
Again, my grey's want to make sure they get their attention against the blue sky
Ah well - what do you do.... I will just enjoy any bit of sun I can get and color over the sad loss of pigment and try to forget.... until the next time I wait too long to get my hair done.
