I have been struggling with breakfast. I don't like most breakfast meats, I could eat 15 bowls of cereal and never be satisfied and get annoyed with all the extra calories and no nutritional value of many breakfast foods.
I was hesitant to jump on the smoothie bandwagon mostly because I prefer to eat my food. The chewing means a lot to me, I guess. I was worried I would sip an essentially healthy smoothie and then pour a big bowl of captain crunch to make sure I got my "chew" in.
Anyway, I decided I never let a good bandwagon pass me by... and since I can't really work out I need to put my focus on good nutrition, so I caved. Plus, I am really tired of eating salads to get my greens in - I needed a new solution.
After walking around the gym this morning watching all the healthy people work out I was exhausted! I came home hungry and ready to try out this smoothie craze. I put 2 tbsp greek yogurt, 4 handfuls of spinach, a handful of cherries, a handful of strawberries, half a cup of almond milk and a couple teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa into the blender... and.... WAAALA!
A protien -veggie filled-sweet-satisfying smoothie!
It made a ton! I put the extra in the freezer for a quick snack and didn't finish the cup I poured because it really was filling. Maybe the chew doesn't mean so much to me after all. Super yum.

i have a hard time with smoothies, so i don't know if i could do that. but i love greek yogurt with fruit and granola, or a flaxseed toaster waffle with berries on top. also oatmeal is awesome because you can put whatever you want in it.
YUM! Sounds like a great smoothie...4 handfuls of spinach?! Veggie-packed is right!!
Were your berries frozen? Frozen fruit makes a smoothie very SMOOTH and creamy...much better than ice! Just my thoughts. :)
That smoothie looks yummy on your new countertop. I loved all of the moving pics below. Your house is looking so cute from what you've shown. Get that back feeling better!
