You know me, I love to dress up. As a little girl I would walk around in my Mom's heels and dream of the days when we would be able to share shoes. I am still dreaming of that day actually. My mom has awesome shoes and we still can't share. I don't think my feet have grown since 5th grade. Now, I just buy my own.
So tell me, what holiday can we take advantage of dressing up EVERYONE in our entire family? Halloween! And yes, family includes dogs.
Last week we took Oliver for his third round of shots. He is a total champion. He struts around the place like he owns it while everyone ooohhs and ahhs over his adorable well behaved self. He loves it.
He climbs up {we actually lift his hefty 28 lbs} onto the table and he lays there while the vet pokes and I feed him cookies. It's a blast.
After the shots the cute receptionist asked us if we were going to dress Oliver up for Halloween. "Of course," I replied while at the exact same time Ben replied, "Not a chance."
We don't agree on everything. It's more fun that way. She told us we better get our costume fast, they were running out and directed us where to find them.
We found the funniest costumes I have ever seen! Unicorns, lady bugs, football players and chickens to name a few. We had to try on the chicken. I couldn't resist. As always, Oliver hung in like a champ. {I think he liked it and would really like to wear it for Halloween}. Isn't he an adorable chicken?!
Ben wasn't on board with getting the chicken costume. Oliver and I begged, but he said no. So we moved on. When we got home I had a great idea! A couple of years ago I wanted to be a bumble bee for Halloween. It was the day before Halloween and when I went to the costume store the only one left {that wasn't $100} was a child's costume. PERFECT, I thought. I ended up being a last minute Mini Mouse that year and I never actually ended up wearing this costume, but I knew it was around somewhere. I searched and searched. And....
Found it!
He seriously just hangs out, costume and all, like it's no big deal.
Ben didn't love the tutu, and I agreed that it was a little much. But still, cutest bumble bee ever! The jury is still out on what he will actually be for Halloween.
I must say - Dressing up is still as fun today as it was when I was a kid!

He makes the cutest bee or chicken or whatever else you decide to dress him as. He is such a good boy!
